I wrecked my truck on thursday...

...on the way to work. I know its not my old school (thank god) but I though I'd post here since you are my other family. I have a sore neck but other than that....im in great shape. It happened due to two other accidents in front of us...I was unable to avoid a work truck stopped in the highway and hit it hard. Crazy thing is I have not been driving this truck for over a month (just had a baby and let the wife drive for saftey (bigger vehicle) anyways...I could not find the keys to the wifes jetta...so I had to drive in the truck. (I would prob be major injured if I was driving the Jetta.

Anyways..Thought everyone would like to see the pics.

Would you like us to put the remaining pieces in the beds of our trucks?

Re: I wrecked my truck on thursday...

Good to see your okey, how tall was the truck you hit? Because the hood is crinkled like a pop can.
I would say the truck is probably totaled because of the frame damage and the air bags deploying. Atleast it wasn't your 70 chevy pickup.

Glad your OK...Seatbelts are the way to go. I used to not wear mine that much but I rolled my racecar about a month ago and without those belts, I might have more than a bum knee!!

Re: I wrecked my truck on thursday...

MAN, you scared me! I thought you wrecked your '70. Just get the insurance company to fix the plastic-mobile and keep on trucking. The most important thing is that you're OK!

Re: I wrecked my truck on thursday...

not to change the story a little but I saw a head on accident just the other day and the jetta folded like a summer basking chair. The body was like jello no bones intact. Plz be careful in the jetta. Changed my mind on driving a small car ever again.

I hate to see any of our rigs get wrecked but I do appreciate how they build in crumple zones to save the occupants. That's what is important here.
