Hey Guys,

A couple of us had a conversation at Maggie Valley about this but I've forgotten all the good info. As some of you know I'm building a roadster, totally topless. I was looking to buy some door weatherstripping, but somebody said something about not needing the blazer weatherstripping. I remember something being said about the S10 weatherstipping that would work. I know this is confusing but if you know me it's just business as usual.

Yep. The Blazer stuff is specifically designed to seal to the top- and $pendy. You could use the S-10 stuff trimmed to length for next to nothing. I think the vendors that were selling the S-10 stuff have moved to a mid-80s Dodge weatherstrip. Fit is supposed to be better. The bonus here is no glue- they slip on.

thanks gringo, what years S10 do I need to get it from. So I just cut it to fit??? Sounds too simple

I got my S10 stripping for my K20 from GMCPauls, he has it listed on his website.

The 'square' body S-10s work. I got mine from a 88-98 fullsize- same stuff.

The 88-98 fullsize weather stripping actually isn't as bulbous(is that a word?) And the rubber isn't as thick so it fits better than the s10 weather strip and seals just as good in my opinion.

Both of these opions seal REALLY well but some members have reported having to slam their doors pretty hard to get them to shut all the way even after readjusting the doors.

The fullsize weather strip is a firm shut but not a slam on mine anyway.
