Been here for a while, but never did step one...lol
Ive been on here for a while but never ever said anything about my build or where it come from.
I moved to Calgary, Alberta 8 years ago, always had a plan to move back to Newfoundland with a older Chevy truck to restore, can't find them here with no rust. Well I moved home in August of 2006 with my wife and daughter and my 86 Wrangler. Hope this thread is to not to long. After being home for 4 months or so I took a seizure and lost my liscence for a full year till today, finally got them back. In that year I thought I was going to get my liscence back about 5 different times, after ******* around with that I finally said thats it, time to start the resto. I started in June of this year, and now I am in the process of putting it back together, here is a couple of pics from then till now. All new front end, bushings, ball joints, etc, only thing not new is springs, A- arms and crossmember. Everything has been cleaned, sandblasted, primed with zinc primer and painted with 3 coats of gloss black, will post more pics in a build page or something.

Quote:
To be honest those are the original brake and fuel lines, there was about a inch of grease from one end of the chassis on the passenger side due to a leak the PO said was there for a while, If you look under the chassis in the pic you can see them on the floor. I cleaned them off, sanded them, primed them with etching primer and silver paint. The only line I have to replace is the rear brake line. The pther pic shows them before I removed them. Thanks for the comments
