Correcting Speedometer Error

The speedo in my truck reads roughly 35 mph fast. When I'm going 55, it reads about 85. I don't have a clue where to even start to correct this problem. If someone would please tell me where to start, what and how to replace whatever needs replacing, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks

Re: Correcting Speedometer Error

Regardless of transmission, the info you need should be somewhere on this page - speedo calibration
