2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
I landed these seats off ebay, Man I love these seats. All I have left now is to finish up my power steering, and I am ready for body work and paint.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
They were a piece of cake to install. The center seat fit perfect over the hump. And the outer seats just sat nice and flush beside it. I will say if the bottom rails were any wider, they would go past the down curve of the floorboard, but they went right to the edge for a flush fit. I used 3/8 bolts and under the floorboards, I used flat washers with lock washers.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
You must still be high from getting your "new" stepside bed. The title says 2006... I think those seats with the integrated seat belts come out of all 99 and ups. I'm glad to FINALLY see the seats I covet so much recently put into one of our trucks. I'll get some one day when I can find them REASONABLY priced!

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
If i remember correctly, in early threads here, members recommended that the floor should really be reinforced under the seats, because if ur in an accident, the seats will pull through the floor. You might wanna search for other threads on this issue...

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
I did see that thread. And I am not to worried about it for several reasons. I have used pretty good size flat washers on the under side, that alone would take a hugh force to pull them through. Second, the stock seat belts had two attachment points, and if you had three people in the truck, the center person shared one of those. The seats have four attachments each for a total of 12 bolts. That is considerably more then the 1,1/2 or two (depending on passengers)That the stock belts used. Third, I am only 140 lbs, a wet noodle could just about secure me

Yes they seem to be the same height, but a little more comfy.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
They were a little steep! $520.00 plus shipping. The sad thing was, I just missed another set by 10 minutes, from the same seller, same year, color, and they were electric. They went for $250.00. I would have bought them, but the ones I got are in keeping with my plan to have nice upgrades, but keeping it simple.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
These are the seats I am going to install someday. I found a set at a local salvage yard for $150. I was told that the driver's side had a small tear in it. They had several sets for under $500. Run a search on http://www.car-parts.com. This seat style is in all Chevy/GMC trucks since '99.
What kind of leg room is left (at 140 lbs I bet plenty)? Is the tank still in the cab or is it relocated? Thanks for sharing.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
Well then these seats might be a problem for me, my tank has NOT been relocated and I'm 6'5" 275lbs Guess I'll need to move the tank before I get 'em.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
WOW! Yes in all honesty, your knees would probably be into the steering wheel. These seats are about 4 inches thicker then the stock seats. And I do think they would pose some leg room issues with anyone over 6'.

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
My '01 GMC had the same seats. I always wondered how they would work in my '71 Cheyenne.
Now 'im wondering how they would work in my '58 step side. |

Yeah, and on top of that I have to shift gears. Guess I'll roll with the racing seats a while longer....

Re: 2006 chevy seats, integrated seat belts, pics
I just found a set of seats out of a wrecked 2001 2500 silverado, the only difference is the center seat does not fold down, but it does have the much needed cup holders. The also have the seat belt problem fixed at the same time. $75 and I pulled them out myself in 15 minutes. I found the post in the parts section 99 and up chevy trucks. I threw them in and they fit like a glove and they feel good too. I will get some pictures soon. The real good thing was I looked at the prices of seat belts and they were expensive and this is a great alternitive.

I like the old school bench look, but those seats look really good in there - and having seatbelts is a nice bonus... hhmmmm.
