frame swap

how much different is the 67-72 shortbed frame compared to the 64-66 shortbed frame? i have a 65 swb and was wondering if i could use the 67-72 swb frame

IIRC the 67+ frames are wider than ours so you'll have to do a little fab work. I could be wrong tho.

I thought they were very similar....I guess I could find out really easy as I have a '67 chassis in the shop, and my '63 parked right next to it.

not much difference. The way the bumper mounts in the front and generally 68-72 frames have the P/S box dimple. Unless there is a problem with your original frame not much reason to swap. All the suspension parts will interchange, except that the earlier frames don't have the dimple for the P/S box.
If you want to update to disc's it is better to use the 73- till 87or so front suspension. It will bolt up to your crossmember, parts are cheaper and it has a better ride because of the control arm bushings are not metal

Mounts are diff for rad/cab and bumpers as mentioned already
