Wiring Problems, Help!!!

All right, here is the situation. Let's see if any of you great minds can help. I have a 72 short step and my rear wiring harness was not in the best of shape. The 2 plugs for the brake lights were present and 1 wire for the reverse light is present. I took a wire and connected it to the reverse wire that was showing and ran it to the other side to allow it to work.

So now the problem, nothing works accurately. As far as the reverse light, the original wire side does not work, the new wire I connected to it and ran across works no problem. I checked the bulbs, all are good.

Now to the brake lights. With just the headlights on, the passenger side works, but when you put on the brakes, the driver side comes on and the passenger side goes out, but the drivers side is at the low light not the extra bright level for having the brakes on. All bulbs are good.

Any suggestions????

Thanks

Re: Wiring Problems, Help!!!

first thing is to run a ground from bed to frame and make sure all light fixtures are grounded to the box
