Big Block Towers Work In 4x4?

Are the 2wd big block towers the same as 4wd ones? I am looking to swap out a 350 in favor of a 454 in a 4x4 long fleet.
Thanx,
Bud

4X4's never came factory with a BB so there are no BB towers for 4X4 out there. The aftermarket has stepped up on almost everything though.

you can also use the cradle from a later 4x4-73-87 style-and use the clam shell type mounts. you might have to relieve the lower portion of the crossmember if it didn't come from a big block 4x4 otherwise the fuel pump will hit a little bit.
