Has anyone run one these cheaper HEI's

I see these on ebay and wonder if they are similar to Jegs or SUmmit's brand of HEI. Has anyone run one?

Re: Has anyone run one these cheaper HEI's

I have a 65K one that was priced close to that one, but I got it from white performance off of ebay 2 yrs ago. It does not have the flat cap like the one you linked to, but more of the stock HEI look. Anyway it has performed flawlessly and felt like the truck pick up a couple of ponies from the new dizzy. Cheap and easy upgrade

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

x2... I got an HEI off of flea bay, it was a Procomp. They don't have the best rep, but it looks good , nice fit and finish and it's run solid so far, + it was cheap...

Re: Has anyone run one these cheaper HEI's

i got one of these $100 summit hei dizzies that they claim are better than stock and it works great so far, i still have some fine tuning to do like timing/ fuel mixture, other than that i am pleased. i hve heard a couple other guys run summit brand dizzies and have had good luck, i think one guy i have heard had some problems but was an easy fix.

Re: Has anyone run one these cheaper HEI's

I got one of those at the beginning of the year, it works well and it was cheap. Well at least a lot better than my last one, which was well beyond worn out. advance weights did nothing and had lots of slop.

Re: Has anyone run one these cheaper HEI's

Keep in mine.....you get what you pay for. Those are JUNK! The only thing I ended up using was the HEI cap top. The parts inside those are worthy of framed art work only. The shaft doesn't set right into the block, The HEI cap spring to rotor contact is week. Sure, they give you a warranty, but buy the time you eat the shipping to and from, you would have been better of getting one from Summit or Jegs, or rebuilding your old one with HP parts. BTW, they are not Procomp. Everything is made in China.
