Yeah I followed your build thread. You did a lot of work, then turned around and did it again. Keep us posted on your progress.

What's the heater from? Looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest. Been a big fan of this truck for a while now on LiL.

Re: the 74 build continues......
it was the rear heater out of a landcruiser, you can get them out of vans and burban's that have duel heaters, they are nice and small so you can tuck them out of the way

Re: the 74 build continues......
the truck has me bummed out, i havent drove it for over a month because ive been putting in the door poppers, seat belts, stereo ect, and got some new plates, any ways i went to start it and the batt was dead so i gave it a quick charge let it warm up for bout 10 minutes and drove it to the gas staion and filled it up, then hit up the cruise spot, i was happy as hell, i finnaly got legal plates, seat belts, spedo working, stereo, dash lights, but about 2minutes into it the lights went dim and it started cutting out and died, so i had some kids push me into a parking lot, then i found a guy with jumper cables but the battery didnt seem like it was wanting to charge,so i was seconds away from calling a tow truck even tho i hated the idea, but then remeberd that i had 3 batterys for the hydraulic setup, so i just used one of those to run the truck and get me home, so now i need a new battery or alternator
but at least i didnt have to use the tow truck keep in mind it was 40degrees, dark and in a bad semi bad neighborhood |

Re: the 74 build continues......
i will gather all that i have, i had to mount them at the front of the door and run a small pvc tube to the latch and run the cable thru the tube, it works good and clears the window and regulators

Re: the 74 build continues......
nice truck, and nice thread. sometimes I just have to leave mine alone for a while and come back to it. Hey how do you get the hood open? do you a latch release inside, or can you get your fingers thru the grill. keep up the good work, and lots of luck, bob

Re: the 74 build continues......
ok, i have good/bad news, i got new pics, but they will be my last as i traded the truck yesterday for a 99 superduty crewcab, i really needed a heavy truck to tow the impala with next year so it had to go

Sometimes we have to part with things we love. That was a sharp truck.
