Re: Just say no....
You only have two now? If they both run then nah, you dont need it. Still its tough to pass up a good running truck (or car for that matter) of the vintage you like for a decent price. Where will you park it? Will you have to insure and plate it just to have it? For some reason my truck is 3x as expensive as my beater 4 door pos. You could start shipping them up here to me, meet you in Nebraska or Iowa, we could use some rust free trucks around here.

Re: Just say no....
If you do not buy it , you will always wonder if it was "The One ". Buy it , drive it , enjoy it . I think that the only type of support group you will find here is a group that will support your decision to buy . Frank

We're a support group, but we tend to only help out after you've already bought it.

Re: Just say no....
sounds like a good find if the price is right --everybody needs a decent driver -(i mean an old truck "driver" , not a Ford Taurus DD or something like that)
but dont let it get in the way of getting your big block truck done |

Re: Just say no....
No. I looked it over real good this morning. The truck has a few issues.
It has two small rusted thru areas on the front fenders under the side marker lights. The passenger side rear cab corner is bubbling, and there is some surface rust on the hood, roof and bed. As best I could tell, the floor looks to be intact and rust free. There are a few dents here and there, but nothing major. The interior looks real nice with flawless original butterscotch plaid vinyl seat. It even has the factory radio and the dashpad just has one small crack in the middle where the speaker is. If it were a short bed, it would be a no-brainer... I would have handed him the cash already and loaded it up on the tow-dolly. I'm probably going to pass on it. In the last 12 months I have gotten rid of 5 'project' cars. I still have the V8 Fiero project that I want to actually finish, and then I have the big block '86 short bed project waiting in the wings (which I thought would be done by now). If anyone wants to swoop in and pick this up, by all means go ahead. The truck is located in Shreveport. If you want me to stop by and take some pics tomorrow before I head back to Houston, just let me know. http://shreveport.craigslist.org/car/465584372.html

Re: Just say no....
Here's a couple more for you to consider. There's a SWB frame in the classified section here that would slip right under either one of these-
73 cheyenne super 10 with 454 motor - $5950 1976 GMC Sierra C1500 $7995
