55" leaves; new shackle mount?

I bought 4 leaves of a brand new F250 superduty (I know it's a ford) for $120. Guy put a lift on and didn't need em. Should give me 2-3" of lift as my current leaves are flat. All four measure 55", which won't be a problem for the rears on my 67 K20, but the fronts are much shorter. Anybody moved leaf mounts before? Anything I should look out for?

Oh, and spare me the Chevy talk.

You can relocate your front spring's rear hanger to compensate for the extra length however that may leave your wheels offset in the wheel well. Have you compared the location of the center pin? That could be moved but would take a bit of drilling to get that done.

Have you compared the width of the springs also?

Are these mainleafs, spring eye forged in it?If they`re just support leafs you can cut to fit.I`m not familiar with the differences between your suspension(`67)and the Dorf suspension.I know the springs aren`t the same as`69-up GMs.It will depend on the arch of these springs compared to your stock arch that will determine how much lift.It could only net you thethickness of the leafs if arches are comparable.

the leaves I have now have not arch at all, so I should gain the arch of the new springs.

With all the fab work your gonna be doing, I'd sell the F**d ones and look around for the right ones that fit your truck. There's a ton of springs out there off lifted chevys (just like you found the F**d ones. I found a pair for my truck (4" lift for $50 bucks) popped in new bushings bolted them up done deal.

Just two centivoes worth
