Ford Front Dana 60 Swap

Has anyone on this list swapped in a Ford Dana 6O? I know the pumpkin is on the other side but besides that it almost looks like a drop in? The WMS is within 1/4" and the spring pad span is within 1/2". I would think that 1/2" is no problem. Anyone have experience or seen any writeups on this?

Thanks,
Whit

it is drop in, save for steering. iirc you have to run crossover. everything else should be close enough to work. bigger brakes with dual piston calipers are NICE.

...if you use a '78-79 Ford HP60, then yes. otherwise the springs are too far apart.

Re: Ford Front Dana 60 Swap

so i guess that would be a good swap if you were dropping in a complete modern 4wd drivetrain? since the front driveshaft drop is on the driver's side?
