Bucket seat Blazer VS pickup

Is it the same bucket seat for a blazer or a pickup? If no is it possible to easily fit to have a stock look?

Re: Bucket seat Blazer VS pickup

mine are out of a blazer.. It wasnt hard to install them... drilled a couple of new holes... they fit nice but when I pull 2nd and 4th the shifter is right against the console..

I think the only difference is the passenger side brackets for a truck are not the tlit forward style like the blazer has. You can find brackets but the blazer style is fine unless you just want it to look stock.

Re: Bucket seat Blazer VS pickup

you just need a different shift handle with different shape to clear console // fabricate from flat stock get chromed 2mounting holes 2bolts to secure and your good to go

when shelby was faced with a similar dilema with the cobra he simply unbolted the mustang shifter handle and reversed it for greater seat clearance. it's been workin great on those million dollar supercars for over 40years dont see why it wouldnt work on a chevy truck

Re: Bucket seat Blazer VS pickup

The passenger side bracket is different, and the blazer/jimmy/suburban bucket seats have plastic backs on them and truck ones don't.Keep in mind the utility buckets from blazers/jimmys were totally different than truck seats. You can buy new truck passenger side brackets, some people are having them remade,or buy used ones.
