Stock ride height on 72 stepper??

I have a 72 stepper that has been lowered, I'm assuming by heating springs or cutting them, I like the stance of the truck but it looks like the springs are wore or sag on one side in the back. I want to redo the supension all the way around but need to know where to start to get it back close to what it is. any advice is appreciated. Heres a pic

my 69 step was 34" from floor to top of rear wheel well arch and the front was 32" to the top of the wheel well arch. that's with stock wheels, tires, and springs.

Thanks for reply, I'm running 275/60/15 on 10in wheel, I just want to get close to the way it sits now. Not sure if just new springs or if need drop spindles too, don't know how low it actually is compared to stock

Looks like a 4/6 drop... you can buy 6inch drop rear coil springs (if it's not leaf springs). The front will take more than just springs. 2inch drop spring & 2 1/2inch drop spindle should give you the same stance with a good ride. Thats what I did. Look up Early Classics or Brothers for the kits.

Any heating of springs kills the ride..

Yeah heating sucks, it really doesn't ride that bad but again it has become unlevel. This truck was lowered back in the 80's, I assume they didn't have drop springs and spindles then so I figure springs have had it. Thanks for the input.

Re: Stock ride height on 72 stepper??

Stone-stock height - shocks & springs (old original springs), but the truck was a six & 3-speed originally, & now a 350/350, so I feel like the front's sagged or weighted down a little extra, especially looking at the drawings above. Looks a bit "tail-high."

I'm "going low" a little in the future when the $$$ will allow.
