Lift Kits
I want to do a lift but I'm not sure A) How high to go or B) Where to get it. I dont really want to do a body lift b/c I dont know how good it will look. But I can't find any suspension lifts. So here's wha tI need. Pictures of lifted pickups both susp. and body. Please inform of type of lift and how high it's lifted. Oh, and I have coil springs on the rear end if that changes where I could get a kit. THANKS!!

Re: Lift Kits
Well a little info would be nice, is it a 2x4, 4x4??? What tires do you want to fit, what do you plan on doing with it?? You said coils on the rear so i'm assuming 2x4 but you never know.

Re: Lift Kits
I don't really know what to tell ya bud. That truck is a lifted 4x4 like mine. There are a few that have built 2x4's that were prerunner looking with bigger tires. I don't think you would be able to fit those tires (35 or bigger). They have kits for the 4x4's that include all 4 leaf springs, but nobody has that I know of kits for 2x4's for these trucks. Also, you wouldn't do much in mud unless it was really thin mud about 6" or less of mud, otherwise you might get stuck, and it wouldn't be that impressive for the ladies. It sounds like you need a 4x4 to do the stuff you want. Trevor

Re: Lift Kits
I want to eventually switch it over to 4x4 but Currently I dont have the money to buy the front end, transmission, transfer case, and have it all set up. Am I going to have to change the rear over to leaf springs to lift it? A lot of people have told me to drop it but I dont think I want to. I dont know. Any ideas?

Re: Lift Kits
No lift the front at all? Do you get any rub? I have 31s now, but I want 33s. I need to be 4 inches higher and 33s will give me 1 inch of it. Your input would be helpful.

Re: Lift Kits
I know for a fact that you could pick up a complete 4x4 chassis with at least the transfer case and maybe tranny sans engine cheap, hell maybe you would get the engine too. Just ask around. I'm sure someone is bound to have one. You'd be better off doing that. Or just buy a 4x4 to begin with.

Re: Lift Kits
Get a lift for a 73-87 chevy 2wd for the front,as for the back..Don't know what to do if it has rear coils. If it has springs, just get a simple block lift.If you still want a higher lift, get a body lift.Although,if you plan to make it a 4wd,but just want it higher now..It seems like a waste of money for a front coil lift if you'll just be putting in a front axle eventually.I'd just look for a 4wd chassis, and put it under your truck and only lift it once. The red/white truck looks like it has a 8" lift, you wont achieve a lift like that easily with coils..With the chassis you would have darn near all it takes to make it a complete 4wd,just swap the body over.

Re: Lift Kits
Man I like the way that looks with those 33's and no lift. It would be cheaper too. What size wheels have you got those mounted on?
