Talking Craigslist find(s)!

Holy Mother of God.

You know most of the time when I type in "Chevy truck" into the parts portion of craigslist here in Phoenix I don't find a damned thing worth having......

This time I found the following:

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/pts/469557383.html

Short step bed, already removed, looks to be in decent shape. $300.

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/pts/448345939.html

I don't know where to begin. 1967 C10 SWB project. Looks to be 90% complete. New doors, new rockers, ... you know what, just look. This thing looks to be an amazing deal. Two weekends, some plumbing and wiring, a powertrain install and 3500 bucks and you have a damned nice ride. Seriously, just look! Everything is already powdercoated, its got an early classics drop kit, and cross drilled rotors. And he'll piece it out!!

{UPDATED} He just emailed me back and he also has a 454 bored .30 over to a 461 big block that is ported, polished, the whole works. He says that he just got it done from the machine shop about a week ago, and it is still sitting down there waiting to get paid for. He says that he paid 4500.00 and is looking to get looking to get what he has in it! He has the receipts and that it is basically a turn key engine! So for right around eight grand you can have an unassembled SWB 1967 that has everything repaired or bought new with a BBC, A/C, P/S, P/B, a fully powdercoated frame and all the suspension bits to include an Early Classics drop kit and front/rear disc brake kit. Some assembly required!

Clean, no-rust, non cut, original paint, everything included Door pairs for $50!!!! The white pair is mine!

Digging more......

He said that he's got another pair in Butterscotch in the same condition, for the same year, at the same price! I think they might be 67-68 model doors as he said that they only have the lower trim. (I haven't picked 'em up yet, you see)

Did 69-72's have an option for lower trim only?

Oh, and I found this for the 64-66 crowd:
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/pts/469065650.html

And I called this guy:
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/pts/467019785.html

He claims to have a dining room full of new parts with receipts for all totaling $3800. I am going to look at his stash tomorrow after I get out of work and would be more than willing to post pictures.

I just want to say as an addendum that I am in no way associated with any of these people but am just astounded at the listings that have been posted lately.

Re: Craigslist find(s)!

lower trim is all that came on 69 - 72 CST/Cheyennes, plus, all years could be optioned like that too.

Oh, that's right! It would depend almost entirely on what the trim looks like, right?

If they are 67-68 doors they will have the small "metal-only" looking trim and if they belonged to a 69-72 CST/Cheyenne they'll have the wider trim with either woodgrain or black centers, right?

Here's to hoping they are 72 CST doors (crosses fingers).

Thanks Andy!
