Oil Pan bolt sizes?
Tomorrow I'll be putting my engine back together, but I apparently have lost my oil pan bolts. Anybody know what size they are. I know the front two are obviously bigger. Thanks.

The front and rear two have 1/2" heads and the rest are 3/8" heads, but I'm not sure of the thread pitch and length. This probably won't help you at all but I thought I'd throw it out there.

The smaller bolts are 1/4 inch course thread,about 1/2 inch long,the 4 corners are 5/16 course thread about 3/4 of an inch long!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian is 100 percent correct.
As a general rule, If a 9/16 socket fits the bolt, it's 3/8 size. If a 1/2 socket fits the bolt, it's 5/16 size. If a 7/16 inch socket fits the bolt it's 1/4 size. That's for all basic bolts you'll encounter working on stuff.

Thanks Brian and Kevin, I have one of the fronts, I had them in a ziploc bag and was looking for them to clean them up. I'll go get new ones now!!

I'm not sure on those sizes ??? I just put my oil pan on last night with all new ss bolts. I have a 1990 sbc 350. (14) 1/4"-20 bolts (2) 5/16"-20 and 2 studs with nuts on them. The older motors probably don't have the studs, most likely 2 more 5/16". If you have a big block then it maybe alltogether different.

If you're buying new bolts, get an extra 10 of the 1/4 inch ones for your timing cover. They are the same.
