Fiberglass Headliner

Has anyone ever seen a fiber glass headliner? My headliner has the cloth torn out of it but I was just thinking about pulling out the whole headliner and fiberglassing it?

What do you think?

Re: Fiberglass Headliner

JC Whitney sells a pre made fiberglass headliner but to do your own i think is a waste.. its easy enough to pull yours out clean it off of all that rubber type glue and then put material on it using a spray adhesieve ive done that and its not bad or hard to do

Re: Fiberglass Headliner

Yeah I was told the same thing by someone else. I wonder what kind of material would be best to put back on it.?

My main concern is smell and dust. I am removing my carpet ane replacing it with a polyvinyle matt. I also want to replace the carpet in the doors. Materials just seem to hold in to much dust and dirt. That's why I thought about fiberglass.
