We went to the good guys show today and saw this blazer in one of the halls. The fit and finish was out of this world! So if anyone wanders what

And the final ones. The shop that built it was Palmer's Custom paint and body. All the gaps were a perfect 3/16 and it was as straite as you can get them.

Very, very nice Blazer. I am disappointed in the rear end treatment though. They spent so much time and effort on the front clip, and mods on the front bumper. It looks like when they got to the rear, they ran out of ideas and just quit....

That is a beautiful truck. I'd love to own it, but I'd want to drive it. I agree about the wheels. The ones on it from the SEMA thead were a little too H2 Hummerish.

Wow... The finish on that truck is beautiful. I love how they molded the inner fender to the rad support... Real clean.

Yes the rims at sema was not their doing. They had this blazer in another vendors space that insisted on using their rims. The guys were pissed but what could they do. It was a work of art and every detail was addressed, I mean look at the hood catch just for one slight mod. I agree the tailgate was not my favorite but it did look much better in person then in the pics. The radiator was not molded into the fenders but the fitmet was so close that it does look like one piece. According to the builders it will be driven by the owner after a full season on the show circut and I heard some were in th erelm of $150k for the build.

Just my 2 cents here, but I’m not such a big fan of this Blazer. I appreciate the craftsmanship, the fit and finish, the purity of line and the smoothness of the silhouette. But, overall, I think this squashed and squished asphalt cruizer is weighted to the cartoon/fad rather than cool/custom side of the scale.
I realize my comments are going to be framed into an old school/new school debate, but I think it also boils down to a sense of proportion and design preference. Take the wheel-tire combination. The extreme profile/diameter/spinner-web-arch combinations so in vogue right now are pure fashion statements; they are the bell bottoms/leisure suits of the day. As for the interior, like much of the rest of the vehicle, everything is so clean and smooth, it’s, well, boring. As a gem-sharp trailer queen on the custom circuit calendar, it’s a natural. I’m also glad to hear that the owner intends to drive the Blazer after it has made its showboating rounds, although it‘s hard to imagine that will occur under anything less than the most controlled conditions. I guess I prefer classic proportions and I'm more impressed by somebody's sweet running take on reality than their attempt at conjuring up a wet dream. In any case, if you like it, nothing wrong with that. I just know that, when I was in high school, I wore stuff that, today, I’m darn glad nobody took pictures of!

Kevin, did you happen to notice how the front fenders bolt on at the cowl? I have thought about smoothing out the cowl to the windshield frame but can't figure out the fender mount in that area.
