I was trying to think of what a fat and tired truck would looked like, that's essentially what I thought of too

Radial T/A's .... R50 X 295 X 15. Used to run 305's but BF doesn't make them any more. Visually I cannot tell the difference in sizing between the two and that is why BF probably stopped making the 305's.

Didnt mean to hijack the thread...

I love black suede as a throwback to the 50's era rods, and a tame red pinstripe really completes the look IMO.

Something similar to this on the hood

With a single trail following the upper contour down the body, and a similar but less detailed version on the back; perhaps a few trails leading into the center design on the 'gate. Maybe a bowtie rolled into the trail on each side of the bed before it breaks over into the gate.

Just an idea... I plan on building a 67 lwb in black primer, pinstriped, lowered, and sitting on some red steelie's with chrome center caps and while walls. I've always had a thing for iron crosses, and a similar design as this would look killer.

Im thinkin a hilborn injection setup (or some other stovepipe looking intake setup), or a tunnel ram with open carb coming through the hood.. I hate to say it, but ive always wanted to put a flatty ford in one of these trucks - it'd be a pretty unique touch and look BA with some vintage Offy heads sitting on it. I cant wait to go completely hot rod on a 67-72 (just not my 72').

Re: post some fat tired lwb truck pics.

I love your truck to eastside, sorry to highjack but,old school pinstripes....tiki Von Dutch...ie mooneyes ....red yellow purple....red yellow orange.......just a little....just on the flat part above the grille on the hood .....right up the center on the tailgate, don't know what you have for a dash but, have some coming up from the heater control around the radio opening,or the glove box cover............There, i've built my dream truck through you.
