Re: Stumble on acceleration

check your timming it may need to be adjusted becuase of the cam(mine did). if its not getting fuel, maybe check the fuel filter, an spray some carb cleaner down the through of that beast...all thats real cheap, if not close to free!

Re: Stumble on acceleration

couple of possibilites come to mind, first I would look down throat (engine OFF) and open the throttle a couple of times, you should see a couple of steady squirts of fuel, this is your accelerator pump, If you have no squirt, either your float bowl is running out of fuel or your accelerator pump is dried up or check ball sticking etc.....
How is your idle speed , is it adequate in gear???? engine isnt missfiring is it??? running on fewer than eight cyliners????

Re: Stumble on acceleration

Is this a crate Vortec? If so, you need to either let it warm up longer, or put on a heated intake manifold.

Re: Stumble on acceleration

my truck had a similar problem.....i replaced my fuel pump...spark plugs....and spark plug wires...i then dumped some sea foam fuel treatment down my tank and down the carb......runs great now.....i also started running premium gas and that took away some problem of mine....gives you better passing gear capabilities in my opinion
