And some that are a lil closer to what you're used to seeing! Props go out to Brian for letting me shoot his truck this week!
Still playin with the tilt. Tight shot of nothing. Brian gettin low for a tight shot! Isn't he a clean one! Feeble attempt at using an infared thermometer as a laser pointer. |

Ewww....you got a Jimenez? That the .380 or the .25? Either way get rid of it before it blows up in your hand. Should be safe with the fake Glock though.

These are really neat pictures. I think this one would be very cool blown up and framed in a game room / garage or something. Very nice.

Wow! Yep that about say's it all. Love the first 2 engine/hood shots. The next 2 you lost to much of the hood lines. I got a kick out of the glove box pic's and the drunk in the trunk was perfect!

Re: Sat pics (11-17) humor me, have a look!
Ive never said they jam...I said they explode. Ive had a Jimenez 9 and that same .380, only in black. We were shooting the .380 one day and once we got past the 90lb trigger pull we were pretty impressed by the little gun....then on the 3rd mag first shot the damn gun broke, the slide flew off and flew further down the range than the bullet did. Might be our "hot" reloads too. But ever since that happend I threw the .380 in the trash and sold the 9mm. Luckily my buddy who was shooting it at the time didnt get hurt.
Just wait though, my next hand gun I get is gonna be a Desert Eagle. Im getting the Mark XIX though, so I can shoot anything from .357/.44/.50AE with only a barrel, bolt, and mag change that only takes ~5 mins. I shot one in .44 magnum and I was all kinds of impressed by it. Not alot of recoil, EXCELLENT accuracy for a handgun(since theres no "floating" barrel) and its sexy. I dont know yet if I want the classic black, or the shiny nickle finish.

Re: Sat pics (11-17) humor me, have a look!
Thanks fellas! I'm just glad I was able to come up with something a lil different for ya. I'm sure you get tired of "Here's my C10 here, Here's my K10 there". I'm trying my best to keep things interesting. As far as the camera that most of these were shot with............Well it's nothing special. It's just a lil point and shoot Kodak.
It does take good pics in low-no light situations so it's the one I use most of the time. It also has the ability to hold the shutter open up to 64 sec (which is how I shot these that look like double exposures). I have a tripod that's about 18" tall (which explains all my low to the ground shots). For the through the hood shot from the front shot I had the camera and tripod sitting in a paint tray that was up on a 6ft stepladder. The shots that are from a lower angle I was using a garbage can to place my tripod on. I had seen some double exposure shots on another site and found them really interesting. I realized to do true double exposures I was going to have to move up to DSLR camera. But I was able to pull these off by timing it where we closed the hood/tailgate/glovebox at some point during the exposure to get a similar effect. These effects can also be done with photoshop but I don't have that program nor would I know how to use it. I have a camera that's a bit newer but I use it mostly for daytime shots or when I need some more zoom. It's also a point and shoot but it's a higher MP and it has a much better zoom. It can only hold the shutter open for 16 sec and just doesn't seem to pull off the night effects near as well as my older camera. But it is good for shots like this. And Tim, Yes that was a semi-live body there. I do like how Kevin titled it "Drunk in the trunk". 72cheyennesuper20 I'm glad you gave em a look! I'm trying not to get in a rut of the same old same old. It's becoming quite the challenge to come up with something new every week. The reason the truck has standard controls is that it has a Vintage Air system that uses non-air controls (most people don't pick up on that). Most guys also have no idea what Absinth is either. My wife really prefered that shot like this. She thought it would keep the viewer a lil more focused on the subject. Of course I had to tone it as well. |
