Two-tone step?

Hey Guys,
Any of you ever see a good looking two tone paint scheme for a step side? I would appreciate any ideas.

Re: Two-tone step?

The factory offered an accent color top. That Stepside shows one custom option.Another would be to follow the line of the bed of the hood that carries back across the cab and doors. That theme would be on the cab, only.A tonneau or bed cover could be made/painted to match the upper color.

Re: Two-tone step?

Either Classic Trucks or Custom Classic Trucks had a sketch page article by an artist that showed four different 2-tone color schemes on short steps. One of them (I don't have access to the issue) had the top rail of the bed a different color than the rest of the bed, but the same color as everything above that same plane if you looked at the side of the truck. I think you can imagine that as a break in the paint color, if you look. On one of them, he did everything above the break in black. The bottom was a lighter color, maybe silver. One was done in shades of green. Use your imagination. If you like it, go for it.

Re: Two-tone step?

The top, visor, all the Chevy emblems, and inside the grille are maroon. There may be a huge change coming. Just haven't gotten the guts yet.
