Newbie, 67 model
Hello,
Newbie here to the chat board and got approved . I'm here cause my old senile dad bought a 67 250ci, 3tree, LWB truck to relive his youth from having 2 before when he was younger. Since I'm now the wrench head in the family I get the privilege of assisting him on what ever he does to it. I'll try to take and post some pictures this coming weekend as we started taking the front clip off to replace a rusted core support, right fender liner and battery tray. It only has 73k miles on it, and will start on the first try every time. reason I joined is for 2 different things. Edited by Moderator 2. The truck is originally some form of light blue, possibly metallic? We would like to paint the truck next spring/summer and would like to go back to original but are looking for a "name" or paint code for ppg. That way we can start gathering supplys and paint jambs and maybe interior before hand. Any post about colors that is really good? Anyway, I searched some post found some other info I was looking for and zoomed some pictures. Alot of very nice looking trucks, and even a 55 chevy car that was really clean. Re: Newbie, 67 model
Welcome to the club Dale. Sounds like you and your dad have great project on your hands. As far as the double groove pulley goes, the classifieds are a good place to start. Also check Ebay and Craigslist. For figuring out the paint code, there are guys here with paint code books. You may want to visit some paint shops and see if they have any paint chip/code books. Good luck with the project.

Re: Newbie, 67 model
WELCOME- You are gonna be an asset to this site, I can already tell - and if you are a site supporter, you can actually advertise stuff - best 25 bucks you can spend- obviously you have a problem with a fixation on these trucks, like most of the guys here - but that's o.k., 'cause we understand. Dive in, there is more here than you can imagine. And again, welcome!!!

Quote:
* you cannot reply with (or start) a "want to buy", "want to trade" or "want to sell" post/thread anywhere on the site without subscribing first ($25/year) * otherwise, you can REPLY to any thread anywhere on the site (even the classifieds section) without subscribing, as long as it doesn't contain an offer for sale or trade. a moderator edited out the WTB (want to buy), WTT (want to trade) or WTS/FS (want to sell/for sale) section of your first post above because it violated the forum rules you agreed to when joining. it's no big deal, just don't do it again when you subscribe, your username will turn dark, bold blue instead of light pink. if paying by check or e-check, it can take upwards of 10-14 days for the funds to clear and your year's worth of subscriptions to go active. a lot of us have subscribed just to support the monthly hosting and bandwidth bills this site generates. others have wisely subscribed so we can list parts for sale (and we often recoup the expenses on our first couple of sales). no matter why you are subscribing, it's generally a good way to go. the moderators and admins definitely put their effort into earning that money

Welcome to the board.... It might be a little confusing at first but don't get discouraged. A registered user is someone who has signed up like you have and a site supporter is someone who has paid a $25 fee and therefore has more privleges on the board. As a registered user you can go to the "Parts For Sale" board here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...ysprune=30&f=8 Search through the parts for sale and if you see something you want to buy you are allowed to contact the seller and buy the item. You are not allowed to post a message and state that you want to buy a certain item or items. Take time to go here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...nt.php?f=3&a=9 and read the "Forum Guidlines and Rules". It doesn't take long to read and it should clear up some questions you may have. Thanks. LockDoc
