I can't imagine why you'd have those side rails on a ramp truck!

Someone just converted it to a stakebody. It would be a nice truck to have. Take the rails off and you still have the ramp truck.

Maybe he needed a work truck but did not want to give up his weekend car hauler.Or he could be scrapping and used his CH for the haul.

The rack above the cab is to hold the extra tires.

redneck livestock trailer! Looks like something you would find around here. Even has a rack on top to store hay.

interesting that it has a 71/72 grill with no top bar or eyebrow trim, like a 67/68 would have.
I agree, it looks bent, high in the middle.
Still a neat truck

Re: Saw this at Home Depot

i dont thgink its bent, i think its an illusion, i think the angle of the ramp and bars make it look so.

try to focus only on the bottom of the truck, look at the cab, and imagine where the frame would be, then look at the bottom of the ramp body.

i think it DID haul racecars. now haulin' cattle

Re: Saw this at Home Depot

definately a race car hauler. probably good for round track. You could stand over the cab and see the race over top of everyone from the inside pit in the middle of track.?? Pretty neat old truck . first one i've seen like it.

I'm in Maui this week and I saw a 67 tow truck hooking a car up today. I wish I could have taken a picture of it.

Only reason I thought it was converted to tire truck was large compressor in back .
