1971 tow truck pics

Looking at maybe getting this, 350, 4 banger, winch was rebuilt, homemade bed for $1500. do you guys think it is worth it?

Heck, I'd probably keep the wrecker bed if it's in good shape. Don't see that many 1 ton's these days, or at least ones in fair shape and that one looks from the photo to be in pretty good shape. I'm thinking it's worth that price, can you get it for a bit less?

I can't count how many times that I wish had my own tow truck(wife drives a dodge)...if you have a place to store it....use it!

Check the Maximum GVW rating on that 71-72... it may be the heavy duty one thats rated at 14000 LBS total... those are sought after because thay are equivalent to the new 450 series tow trucks. The vin tag should look something like this one.
