Re: Post some picts of your exhaust
dude its so much easier (and cheaper) to go out b4 the tires. It even looks decent. If u want i can get apic of mine 2morrow and post it. I've got a 307sb wit headers and 24" glasspacks. Theres only one bend in the pipe to turn it out in front of the rear wheels so its easy and since theres less pipe...cheaper. Just my thoughts. Let me know if u want that pic. Just PM me. Have a good'n.

i would like to do that but the cops around here give us problems about that my friend got a ticket for that soo he took the truck in and had a complete exhaust done (flowmaster) and took it back to court showing the recept and they said flowmaster is not legal in this city. my other friend has a 74 K10 with 350, headers and glasspacks and i like how it sounds thanks for the thoughts though |

I think if Flowmaster knew about that they might have something to say about it. I don't think a brand can be declared more illegal than another-usually there is a noise limit. |

Re: Post some picts of your exhaust
I am extremely confused about this. I just said that instead of going out BEHIND the rear tires, go out n FRONT of them. And then we're talking about flowmaster being illegal in your city (which btw where the **** do u live). And i totally agree, flowmaster needs a call about that if its true. They'll have a hissy fit over that one. Anyways, if wut u meant was that turning out in front of the rear tires is illegal, i dont see how they can do that. Its not exactly louder........it may not have as deep a tone as going all the way out the rear but still. How long r ur glasspacks btw? Anyways....yeah...I'd still turn it out from under the truck right in front of the tires.
Heres wut mine looks like. I really like it. I forgot i had this pic. The grille shell is gettin that black crap off of it this weekend. And again....i dont see how they can tell u how 2 do yur exhaust other than a noise limit. Thats like the other day when i got mine inspected and he told me i failed b/c of emissions. I got in his face b/c he argued with me for ten mnutes about 69's being emissions exempt b/c it didnt come from factory with emissions crap. After some calls to three other local mechanics he admitted he COULD be wong and passed me. Idiot. Anyways...totally of subject...i still think b4 the rear wheels is yur best bet. Leave em' how they are unless you get a headache everytime you drive... I've been running the same setup as you for almost a year. Cherry bombs baby Loud Pipes Save Lives!
but the side exit would be cool too!

That's funny about the inspection and emissions. I dont even have to get an inspection on my 68 cause its over 35 years old

Re: Post some picts of your exhaust
I need to take more/better pics...but untill then. I have Hooker comp headers, Full custom mandrel bent 3" ( i think) pipe to two Flowmaster super 44's, side exit in front of rear wheels. It is LOUD. But I love the sound of the big block...Cant beat the rumble in yur ear. People say "dont get side exit....its too loud. I think its perfect for a hot rod or weekend driver. Plus it feels like you have some serious power. lol
