03 SS problems
I finally got the truck from the wife today and now I have no clue as to what is wrong. When I am driving at about 30-40 MPH I get a grawling sound coming out of the left front. Not sure if it is the front drivers side wheel bearing and hub or the transfer case right under the seat. If I accellerate through 40 I never hear it. Only when I am moving at about 30-40.
Starting to notice a little pause in the engine when you are steping on the brakes also. Kind of like the vaccuum to the power brake is having a problem. Any info would be helful. Waylon |

Re: 03 SS problems
The AWD transfer case on that truck is one of the best out there. My guess is it would have something to do with the front axle or something like a wheel bearing?
As for the stumble. Does the truck have a low idle? The gen III motors are pretty bad about dirtying up the throttle body about every 25k mi. Might try cleaning it.

Re: 03 SS problems
remove the plastic intake, and spray the throat and inside the throttle body (open the blade with your hand) using "throttle body cleaner". I use a lint free cloth to get the backside of the throttle body and edges of the blade. while your at it..."spray" your MAF clean with "Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner"... do not touch the little wires.
