Hey from Boise, ID
Hey hows it goin! Im Mark, new to this site.. I live in Kuna Idaho(just outside of Boise). I Love anything with 4 wheels prettymuch! Expecially Old Chevy/GMC Pickups. I work at Kenny's Rod Shop in Boise, where i do prettymuch anything that comes in(except for wiring bleh), checkout our work!! www.kennysrodshop.com
At home my current project is this 1966 Chevy 2wd short fleetside i recently acquired and have been working on for 2 months now.. "z'd" the front of the frame 3", beltech 3" drop spindles, narrowed the a-arms 1.5", modified balljoint angles to accomidate a-arm angles, raised the lower balljoint 1", 1973 disc brake clip, slam specialties bags, QA1 shocks, tubbed the firewall and tubbed the innerfenders to clear and lay frame on a 28" tall tire, 1998 LS1, TH400(eventually a gearvendors), Ford9" rearend, detroit tru trac, 3:70gears, moser 31 spline axles, late model big bearing housing ends, braced, the rear of the frame is backhalved with 2x4x1/8" wall tubing, gusseted internally at all angles with 1/8" plate, 1 1/2"x.125 wall tubing makes up the rear braces, factory trailing arms with a new crossmember, cut for driveshaft and exhaust, QA1 shocks, 26gal mild steel fuel tank, soon to have a watts link, slam specialties bags, setup for a 30"tall rear tire... progress has slowed, waiting on parts.. Here are some links of the hoopty!! http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m37/McIvermark/66/ http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ermark/66/cab/ http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m.../engine%20bay/ http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...%20suspesnion/ http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...%20suspension/ hopefully i can meet some cool people on here!! feel free to message me!! thanks-Mark Last edited by MacSic66; 11-30-2007 at 10:38 PM. |

Re: Hey from Boise, ID
hey! thanks!! I gotta ask.. where did you get the rallye wheels on your truck? im planning on running those same wheels till i can afford 20"s.. My overall plan for the truck is to have a clean reliable daily driver, ability to drive really low, get some gas mileage out of it, enjoy the hell out of it!! I plan on running all the factory trim/chrome bumpers exc, two tones cobalt chevy blue and caddy pear white(maybe no these exact colors but pretty close) Just a reliable truck i can drive long distances!! More of my work is at www.kennysrodshop.com in the projects section, the 34 pickup chop and strech and dans 37 frame..
i like the truck cab lift system you designed!! very innovative!! -Mark Last edited by MacSic66; 12-04-2007 at 11:02 AM. |
