I have 2 questions!
First.
Where the heck is the buzzer in my 86 GMC? That thing needs to go! Second. I see that the factory 4x10's are mounted in a "housing" that bolts into the cab. Does someone aftermarket make a "housing" for 6x9's? To replace the 4x10's. Thanks. Jason. |

Pioneer makes 4x10 speakers. I put a set in my 77 and they sounds great. The buzzer is in the upper left hand corner of your dash its a little green box with a louverd circle on the side

What is a buzzer?
Wonder when GM started to install them? Mine don't have it or don't work. |

Cool, now I know where to look for the buzzer. And I have a set of really killer set of 3 way 6x9's that sound awesome! I would really like to use them in this truck. Thanks.

Forget the 4X10s. [URL=http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/stereo/stereo.htm] Use 6X9 {/url]
Mine had some 6X9 when I bought it. There is enough room to install a speaker with a very big magnet. Try www.crutchfield.com for some brackets. |
