lower springs - not even
I put on lowered spindles and 2 1/2 inch lower springs in the front and 6 in the back. Got it aligned etc... and it rides great but I notice front passenger side is about a half inch higher (just eyeballing).
Any suggestions? Last edited by Mondo; 12-02-2007 at 05:16 PM. |

Maybe the body mounts are worn?

Re: lower springs - not even
yeah, I'm hoping it's just the spring got twisted when they put on the spindles.. I just haven't got a chance to look but figured I check more than one thing at that time if I got some other suggestions to look at.
cab was off a couple years ago- new mounts, don't think their worn out that fast Does the rear have springs seats like the front too? |

Re: lower springs - not even
Remember, the left side of the truck is heavier than the right: steering col/wheel, box, pump, alt...
Be sure the frame is actually lower, not just the body. If you think you have a weak spring, you can test them by reversing them...a little work, but then the truck should be low on the other side. |

Re: lower springs - not even
if it is belltec parts they offer a spacer for the driver side to level it up if you look at any chevy or gmc truck thats been static droped they all lean that way

Re: lower springs - not even
I recently cut a pair of front springs and the driver side sits a little lower. When I get in it's even more noticeable due to my weight. I bought a set of coil spring spacers that twist into the coils and plan to raise the driver side almost a half inch to make it level while I'm driving. I'm picky about the stance and the spacers were only $5 at the local parts store and look like this. Pickmup's way is the best but I'm too lazy and figure these are worth a try.

Re: lower springs - not even
Thanks guys! Nice to know it wasn't something I did... Too bad I like the lower side better than the raised side
Looks like 3" lower springs will be ordered next... Last edited by Mondo; 12-02-2007 at 05:16 PM. |
