Body Mounts???

How much of a pain is it to install body mounts on a truck without taking the cab or front end off? Impossible???

Re: Body Mounts???

Not at all, the only ones that may be tough are the front cab mounts, the bolts drop in from the top and some were welded. But with all the mounts loose, shift linkage and MC from the booster, you can jack the body high enough to replace them.

Re: Body Mounts???

on my truck i soaked the bolts with PB BLASTER then pulled back floor mat and cut weld on the interior bolts then i didn't unhook anything and just loosened the bolts on one side only and jacked it up behind the bolt that goes through cab and it came up high enough to pull out old and i replace them with poly ones (and it rides higher that factory i think but not bad looking) then tightened up that side and went to other and did the same i have a 72 4x4 k10 so it may be diffrent but same principle ideas
