you should check the hubcap place on preston near gilmore lane. I picked up an 8" 6 lug truck rally spare for my truck for $20 there and they had a few of them at the time, but that was a couple of years ago.

Have you checked the local yards and local hubcap places? That is where I would look first to try and save the shipping...Randy

No actually haven't even thought about the hubcap places. Only checked a few yards and they didn't have anything, that is what drove me to the board.

No the one you seen at my house has corvette style 8's all the way around. My project did have 8's in front and 10's in the rear, of some wheel that looks like the late 70's early 80's corvette,but they are the wrong lug pattern and the holes around the edges are different. Now Frank is sporting 17x9's eagles all the way around

OK, I though you had said that rears were 10's, either way, Frank's new shoes look great, for that matter the old shoes looked good too.

I scrolled over to the build site after your earlier msg so I saw the new shoes. Looks great.

The wheels that you said you got from the hub cap place was it one of the Corvette ralleys? Or was it 80's ralley wheel. Just wondering, I guess that if I had to choose the corvette rally's are much better looking.

The rim I bought was a truck rally, the corvette style in 6 lug like in the pic of the black truck above are aftermarket only as far as I know.

I agree the Vette ralleys look much nicer..

Do you now if they make a fuel tank sending unit that will work with stock gages. I got some kinda issue with the fuel gage, changed sender out with known good one and it still reads a tank and a half when full. I'm pullin my freaking hair out... it will be like that then for a week it will act normal and then act up again...

Let me know when Frank is done and your ready to sell the shorty..LOL
