Re: Serpentine Set-up

I have that same setup. Truck is not quite finished yet, but I like it much better than most of the more expensive aftermarket kits.

Another nice looking option, if it will work with your heads is the stock setup on a 96-98 C/k truck (vortec motor)

I have the same set up also. Love mine. Had it on the truck for several years and 32,000 miles and not a problem with it.

Re: Serpentine Set-up

Have the set-up on my 69. The only issue I ran into was the length of the water pump putting the clutch fan REALLY close to the radiator. But since I was installing a Gear Vendor OD and had to redo the driveline anyways I put big block frame stands in which pushed the engine back 1''. And I already had a big block shroud, so it was all good.

Re: Serpentine Set-up

I have it in my blazer, I love it as well. Got tired of losing belts everytime i redlined.... Sepentine was an obvious step forward in that department.

Re: Serpentine Set-up

i have a setup from a '92 sub. & it works great!! i just bolted everything on. the only draw back (if it is one) is that the ac compressor is not a "sanden" type & any vintage air ac setups will require a hose conn. kit, which you can obviously buy from.... vintage air. other then that the system is perfect.

good luck!!

Re: Serpentine Set-up

For those of you with the GM serpentine system, how did you finish the brackets? Or are they bare aluminum?

Re: Serpentine Set-up

orange72blazer,
i just used a alt clip that i got. i think yo ucan check with some of the vendors on here & tell them what you are looking for & they will be able to get it.

alex haley,
i just left mine alone for now (cleaned up) , but when i break the truck apart for paint i will probably try to polish them up myself & or have them powdercoated..
