Re: What did you get done? 12/02
Almost got the exhaust manifold-to-head gaskets replaced. Those dam# AIR injector flare nuts are rusted tight on the manifolds and they're really slowing me down. I just removed the pass. side manifold with them attatched and removed the 1" rubber hose from the diverter valve. The driver side is another story as the #1 air injector pipe runs around the A/C compressor bracket, those HAVE to be taken loose. I needed to resurface the manifolds, thats why I had to take 'em off in case y'all were wondering.Sorry about the rant!

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
I finished building the first part of my exhaust, 2 1/2 with an X-pipe and 2 cherry bomb extreme single chamber muflers. I installed my new transmision cooler lines.(stainles braided lines) Im not sure what im going to do with the tail pipes yet, but the x-pipe and muflers are ready to get a coating of Jet Hot. I was really happy with how the pipes were able to lay in the chanels I put in the trans crossmember..I need to finish routing the fuel line and both cooler lines this week and I plan on setting the cab back on next weekend. Any one want to come help ??

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
Well Saturday morning I was up at 4:30 to get to the ball field to "work" at m units fun run (running as in jogging). Then I was thinking nap time, but actually had to spend 6 hours waiting for someone to show up to fix a issue we had at work. But I did manage to take m daughter to the Hot Import Nights. Not a truck in sight. Then today I went on the Toys for Tots motorcycle ride. I think there was at least 1000 bikes.

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
Worked until 4am, then checked the site. Went to bed around 7, woke up at 1. Pulled steering column, reciever hitch, and tailgate off the parts truck. Cleaned out the blazer, organized my tools. And back to work at 6 (where i'm at now). I hate this place (Indian casino) I gotta have a change in life!

Ripped into my truck 350 out 454 back in, dropped 2 weeks pay into it in the last week buying all those little bits and other stuff I figured would be easier to replace with the motor out

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
My back has been hurting bad but I still managed to dig up a sewer pipe and fix the break. I did put gas in the truck. Went to the courthouse thiss week and got a new title for the truck, well a title in my parents name. She just happened to mention after I got all the paper work done that I'd have to buy new plates If I transfered the title into my name. Not going to happen since I just got the collector plates and paid a bunch of $$$. Now just waiting for a call so I can drive upto the springs and get some paper work for a van title.
Fun stuff going on.

Absolutely nothing. I did cut two perfect donuts though. Tranny should be in today, installed tonight (I hope) and then I can really see what this 383 will do.

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
Finally did some more work to my '83. I drove the hell out of it too! My buddy gave a an Edelbrock 1406 carb so I bolted that on. Runs excellent now! I replaced the passenger side fender and the hood. Replaced the front and back glass and the tail light lenses. I just placed an order this morning for a new grille and headlight bezels. I'll post pics later...jc

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
My truck was running so good Saturday,i decided to run her though the local car wash,BIG MISTAKE! my truck rolled to the end of the line, one of the employees jumped in and the pos would not start,we had to push it out of the parking lot,i started checking the obvious and after 25 minutes i found the starter wire off. I put it back on,drove it home and changed the terminal on the wire. After fixing the wire,i drove it a few miles and the heater blower switch burned up. Aint life fun?

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
Friday I picked up the 700R4 trans that need rebuilt to replace the TH350 currently in the Jimmy
Saturday I got the fuel lines installed and clamped down short of 2 clips I would like to add on top of the missing fuel filter clamp. Put splash shield on the TPI base and then installed it. Put the S&P oil pressure tee on (for running factory sender and the TPI sender) and the thing stripped out. Yippie! Couldn't find my water outlet, have NO clue where it went so I got to get a new one. Installed the 42lb injectors in the fuel rail. Debating on whether I will run the EGR or make a block off for it. Sunday I went to several parts stores to find a brass fitting that would fit under the TPI Base to replace the S&P piece, finally found the 2 I needed. Updated Pics (and project post )coming soon.

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
Didn't get anything done, but I did collect a few parts this last week.
When I sold my diesel blazer this last spring, I tossed in the Echobit shackle flip I'd gotten as I planned on a 63" spring swap. However, I've scrapped that idea for now, and was able to get the brackets back in trade for a TH350, and a tow from the side of the highway back to the city after his fuel filters froze off, lol I also scored some AC ducting, wiring, and rad dealies. All I need now is some lines and a good pump to have a complete A/C setup. This coming weekend I have a renovation I have to complete here at the apartment building, so I probably won't get much done, but I am hoping to change the thermostat and flush the coolant on my 96 so I can coax more than 160F outta it and get some heat going again, and push the 86 C10 into the shop to get it defrosted in preparation for swapping in a new 305. I intend to use the truck as a farm truck next summer so we don't have to use the nice 2000 Silverado anymore. If I have the time, I'll try and get my GMC's shackle flip in, but that might not happen till I finish school in two and a half weeks.

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
I picked up this thing on Saturday 12/01
It's a 93 TT 5-speed w/ 48k original miles on original motor. Now if I can figure out my wheel/tire situation on my truck I can finish it up.

Re: What did you get done? 12/02
I put the 92 S10 Blazer in the shop so I can swap the fuel pump and fix the drivers door that wont close. Then I have a winter beater back in operation, the 76 is just too low for the amount of snow we get here, but it still goes through the light stuff good.. for a 2wd anyway.. Maybe get to the fuel pump tomorrow, today I am building a new PC so I can play games on it.
