Re: power window switches
ive heard somewhere about a switch that mounts in the window crank hole and uses the original lever to operate the switch. it looks like oe but you just lift the lever to go up and pres down to go down. i dont know maybe i just made that up in my head but i thought it would be an awesome idea for someone going for the restored look

Re: power window switches
here are the pics of the switches in my 68... these are the pods that came with the electric life bolt in kit, they fit right over the stock crank holes.... Plus the fit and operation of the kit is awesome!! No fab work needed...

Re: power window switches
Don't suppose you have a part number on those switch pods do you? I looked at their website and couldn't find them. Those are exactly what I need to finish mounting mine. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: power window switches
I'm going to mount mine in the center of the dash hidden just underneath the a/c controls. Out of sight out of mind and keeps them asking "how do you open the window?"

Re: power window switches
Nah, don't sweat it, I got another two years here stuck with Uncle Sams canoe club. I'll worry about it when I can actually drive my truck again
Cameeks, that would be a neat little mod too.

Re: power window switches
The switch pods are held on with 4 screws and are backed with a piece of tin to tie it all together.... they are really secure.. I sprayed them with trim black to dull them out a little to match the panels... The switches themselves feel ok... There is no need to be rough on them... you press and the window goes up or down.... Not sure what is avail.. The stuff I used was standard with the kit..
