Does anyone know where I can get a set of these?

LMC, ebay stores, salvage yards. Pretty common rot out item here in the northeast.

yea your only hope is to find a set (ive been luck with all 4/5 truck ive had Maybe i should save them when i part them.

big block 427 and 5 speed trans and ford 9 inch theyhave no home yet thinking what to put them in

and a 79 c60 trash truck um no idea i have one

What would you call those things anyway, they arent exactly straps

the rusted out brackets that hold the straps are still available from GM. i just bought a set for my '77. i got the straps themselves at Auto Zone.

LMC part number 32-5820 Gas Tank Strap Kit.

Same part number for the passenger's side as well. 32-5821 for a rear mounted tank.

Tank supports\straps are still available from GM. You might have to ask for straps for an 87, but they are all the same and do fit. They are expensive, almost $50 each but worth every penny. A little note here, it's easier to install them on the tanks first if you weld studs into the bolt holes first. Trying to get those danm straps around the tank and getting the strap nuts started is impossible.Jim
