BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
These are from a batch of parts I got awhile back and since I don't have a BBC in my 4x4 figured some one may want them. Two sets, need blasted and painted to be nice but no tears or cracks. $35 a pair shipped or both sets for $60 shipped.

Re: BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
I sold both sets of the BBC clam shells at swap meet in Feb. Surprised to see a parts posting from that far back. Don't have any other shells at this time. Sorry not much help for you.

Re: BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
What is the part number on the shells? You could slow ship them to me in PA 17011 to save you a few bucks.

Re: BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
What is the difference between the big block shells and small block shells?

Re: BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
I think 73 up they are the same. It is the frame mounts that have the $$$ value.

That's kinda what I was thinking. 72 bb shells are different?

Re: BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
Can't help with the part numbers on the clam shells as I did not write them down before I sold them. Since I don't have a BBC it never occured to me. Also not a clue as to the 72 vrs. the 73 and newer clam shells. Not much help I know but don't have any info to help with the questions.

Re: BBC Clam Shells F/S-Ks.
There's 2 different style clamshells that I know of. BB or SB has nothing to do with the difference. Some trucks came with plates sandwiched between the clamshell and the engine block. The plates are for attaching reinforcing rods that run from the plates down to the bottom of the bellhousing. I've only seen these rods on automatic trucks and they attack to a cast aluminum torque convertor cover.
The clamshells used with the reinforcing rod plates are slightly shorter to make up for the thickness of the plates. BB and SB use the exact same mounting dimensions. Where one bolts in so will the other, as long as there's room for the upper part of the engine.
