Does anyone make drop spindles for 3/4 ton

Does any one make drop spindles for a 3/4 that will still allow you to use the factor disc breaks?

Re: Does anyone make drop spindles for 3/4 ton

I've heard the answer is no for 67-72. I called the tech department at performanceonline.com about this, and the guy told me that to keep my 3/4 ton 8-lug and lower it via drop spindles, I would have to use the drop spindles for a 73-87 3/4 ton. And to make thoes spindles work, your gonna have to get the ball joints and a few other parts that I cant remember. I also called the Tech department at ECE and the guy told me that no one makes drop spindles for a 68-72 3/4 ton. I hope he is wrong and someone does! I want to stay 8-lug, but I also want to be low! Im really hoping that someone out there has a better answer than what I put up! And remember, Im really new at this whole thing, and most of the time I'm sleep deprived, so take whatever I say with a grain of salt cause it could be way off!

Re: Does anyone make drop spindles for 3/4 ton

I couldn't find any for a 3/4t period! I used the '73-91 burb crossmember and still had to use 1/2t lowering springs. The only good thing was that I kept the 8 lugs and saved my rims. Lug diameter changed from 1/2 to 9/16. The max drop that I felt comfortable with using the springs was only 2".

Call Early Classic Enterprises (559) 291-1611. If anyone does they will and if they don't they might make a pair for you.

Re: Does anyone make drop spindles for 3/4 ton

I have a website here that i bought mine and had put on and no problems for that last year and half. just have to check the size of your disk for brakes. So have said they are trash or poor quailty but not problems for me. heres the link http://www.airbagit-store.com/product_list.asp?id=1893. my truck has 3 in drop spin and 5 in heavy duty springs out back. if you search you can find more picks and different companies.
