Electric windows
Ever since I've put the electric windows in my truck they have been hard to get up. They come down nice and easy, but up is another story.
Should they have relay's on them to make this better or do you think it's something else? Both sides do this.

Re: Electric windows
Sounds like you may have an alignment problem. Watch the glass going up and see if it tries to shift forward or back, this causes the glass to bind the felt track. You will need to play with the guides to make it track even.

Re: Electric windows
i put them in mine too and i have the same problems. what kit are you using? i used the cheap kit from LMC truck. my problem was the tracks. the rollers are flat spotted and when ever the roller is stuck on the flat spot is when i binds. it eventually stripped the gears that attach to the regulator.
good thing about LMC is they have replaced the entire kit on four occasions becasue of the same reason. |

Re: Electric windows
I used A-1 http://www.a1electric.com/index.htm with no problems what so ever and couldn’t be happier. I made sure all my tracking was in good shape along with all the rollers. If things aren’t lined up right it won’t matter what kit you have.

Re: Electric windows
I'm thinking it maybe alignment issue. I'm going to check it out this weekend I hope when I start work on the interior since the tear down. Thanks ... Oh I don't remember the name of the kit I'll look and see if I can find it.
