Need help, problems with the 82 4x4

I am trying to get this thing all squared away, here are a couple of the issues that I want to address and would like some pointers on where to start. First one is the fuel gauge, I filled it up and it only registered at half a tank, what can I do w/o dropping the tank? I want that as my last option. I have an extra gauge cluster from a 83 Burb that I can use as well. Next is the speedo, it jumps around like crazy most of the time and the rest of the time it won't go over 30-35. Any ideas on that one?

yeah, new speedo cable will be in order. you may need a new fuel sending unit... Also, when my bezel was off, i filled the tank up and just moved the needle over to FULL.
