Has anyone used "Patriot" headers?

I need to order headers for our '67 and there's TOO MANY CHOICES! We put the new 350/330 crate in it and I'm looking at these:

Ceramic Coated 1967-1974 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
Brand:
Patriot Headers
Part #:P1RH80491

Does anyone have any experience with these before I order them?

Thanks,

Jon

Re: Has anyone used "Patriot" headers?

I had a set on a 3rd gen Camaro. They fit well...and thats really all that matters when it comes to headers I guess.

My only ***** was that they were 2.5in collectors.

when going with headers, spend the little extra and get the good ones. Dont go shorty if you can avoid it, and i have heard that FlowTechs are poop. But, in my experience i had a set of long tube FlowTechs on my 82 that were just perfect fit and not loud. Try and find some with ceramic coating and the thick phlanges. Header wrapping may also be a good choice since it will quiet it down and insulate heat.

These aren't a "Cheap" header....but not the most expensive either. I agree that the $90.00-$170.00 ones are "You get what you pay for" but I don't know where the money is between the $350.00-$529.00 ones

Jon,

are they block huggers or long tubes because if you put long tubes on it they hang low tothe ground and you can see them from the side. Just an idea. If you gat block huggers they can tuck the exhaust far better.

Do what? Are you sure we are on the same page? Or are you joking. No seriously if you get the right block huggers you can simply bolt them on and run them down along the bottom of the cab.

I think he was talking about performance....because you really only do headers if you want more power. Am I right? And shorties dont do **** for performance.

Re: Has anyone used "Patriot" headers?

I am sure performance is not on his mind. I personally like the new block huggers that use the donut style gaskets. Long tube headers are only good for blown gaskets.

not the front cross......the one with the trailing arms bolted to it. Maybe a 4" hole on either side and weld in a 2"x4" piece of pipe

Re: Has anyone used "Patriot" headers?

Yeah, that is a good idea. But the headers still hang down far below the firewall then the muffler shop has to go back up three inches. WHatever, just a tip
