One Piece Window Kit??? Anyone have it?

I was wondering how good the one piece window kits actually were. I have a 1987 short bed chevy that I was thinking about putting the one piece window kit in but I didn't know how good it was. It sure is expensive for such a modification. has anyone purchased and/or installed one of these kits? How do you like it? Was it worth the money? Any complaints? What happens if your window get smashed? Do you have to order a new custom window for 2 million dollars or what? Thanks for your help!

I haven't got mine installed yet, but I believe it is worth it for what comes with the kit. If the glass is smashed you would have to purchase a new piece from the manufacturer.

I tried some and took them out. The fit like S--T. Good luck with them they look killer if you can get them to work.Put them in before you do any paint work cause there is definatly some bending involved. I could never get them up all the way though. with out about breaking them.

Re: One Piece Window Kit??? Anyone have it?

I honestly think the vent windows are just part of the style of these trucks. Replace the gasket and seal them up and leave them.

I've looked at the slot in the door for the glass, and the contour changes right where the vent window starts. You would need to some major body work on the door to make the slot uniform all the way around. It certainly can be done but don't let anyone tell you those kits are bolt in.
