My kinda patina......:D

Saw this truck today and had to stop and take a few pictures (they don't do it justice). The guy that owns the truck bought it in 73. He said he started his business with it, both of his boys drove it to high school. The youngest one helped him restore it. He had all the chrome on the outside powercoated black. It's got a lot of ECE components underneath. Very clean interior with a factory tach dash and a set of late model buckets (with console). Oh yeah, under the hood is 572 BB with a demon carb!! He said he had a 383 stroker in it but it didn't have enough oooommmmppppphhhhh........Enjoy!!!

Question Re: My kinda patina......:D

noticed the inside of the bed is a dull finish ? is it a spray in bedliner or just semi gloss paint ? looks good !!

Re: My kinda patina......:D

It's spray in bed liner, but it was sprayed on in such a fine mist that it looks like it was powder coated. Very tasteful.

That`s one smooth mutha.Great attention to detail. The pc is matte to make it seperate, yet blend.
Is that some kind of paint that gets all juicey looking when you don`t take care of it?

Re: My kinda patina......:D

it intresting how some have the nack of doing it just right! Not to little...Not to much...it has got to be a talent that many of us (ME) don't have. Thanks Hart_Rod for taking time out to take the pics for us. That is one nice looking truck.

Awesome! I had actually toyed around with doing a grill treatment something like that on my '69 C-30 Ramp truck. It looks sweet!

It's pretty interesting how he made it.

The bumpers, winshield wipers and door locks are powder coated also.

The guy was busy when I stopped to look at the truck so I gave him one of my business cards with the web address to our board. This afternoon he (Jerry) gave me a call and we talked trucks/cars for about 45 minutes. He said the truck started out as a resto-mod, but his son wanted to do away with the trim and the next thing you know.............he's dropping in a 572 with a built 700R4. It's good to know that I'm not the only one that happens to, . He's got several more including a 67 Chevelle two door hardtop with a 427 in it. It's black just like the truck. Hopefully after the holidays I'm going to go over to his house and take some more pictures of the 2 together.

The park lights were removed from the stock 69/70 grill and he used a 72 bumper.
