Chevy steering column

Does anyone know if the shift indicator and shift housing from a 71-72 truck will fit a 76 chevy van tilt steering column? They look identical. I just dont want to spent 500 dollars on a new tilt steering column.

Re: Chevy steering column

Yes it will. They are the same column. I used a Chevy van column in my 72 truck, The housing is the same.

Re: Chevy steering column

You can also buy just the indicator for your column. Summit
racing sells an indicator that will work on most columns.
