Re: Heater help?????

Dirty "squirrel cage"? I have the same problem too, new heater core and new water pump and 192F thermostat and still kinda-sorta okay heat, but nothing to write home about. As a comparison my Lincoln's heater can burn the skin off my fingers if set on max, damn thing does indeed get over 85F at the vents! I'm like 1500 miles away from my truck right now, but when I get home I'm pulling the squirrel cage fan and cleaning it, cause that just ain't right for the crazey cold I'll be seeing up in MI.

Re: Heater help?????

Mine had an issue with the door in the heater box. Under the dash take the cover off of the heater box. There is a flapper door that has a small hole in it with a piece of plastic that the control arm connects to. The plastic piece that connects to the door broke on mine. I just put the plastic piece back in where it belongs and put a small screw with a big head on it and it has been working for a couple of years.
