project dragging bumper

been woring on this project for a while now ,with 5 kids and a job that takes me outa town its gonna be a long deal.its a 70 lwb just finished up the rear frame ,now its on to the mustang 2 front end, should lay out with a 18 up front and a 20 in the rear ,a little history on the truck ,i bought it in high school as aone owner truck,st8 six thre speed no option truck, yanked out the 6 and 3 speed, replaced it with a 350 and powerglide, cut the coils on the front and heated the rear springs, plus the 4 inch lowering blocks on the rear, had 15 x10 slots all the way around, drove it for almost a year before some one wanted the 350 worse than i did ,sold the motor ,had the truck sitting while i built a new 400 for it and finished the body work, while it sat some crack head stole the wheels and tires and i lost intrest ,sold the body for 200 or so dollars, this was in 1988,last year i saw the guy that bought it from me and asked if he still had it and wanted to sell it ,i bought it back for 125 dollars,in really poor shape,he never finished body work floors , rockers and cab corners were gone ,it had almost grown to the ground, too it home stripped it out and started this project . i have the mustang 2 front kit with dropped spindles and big brakes, most all of my air ride stuff,a s-10 posi out of a 4x4 ,and most sheet metal to repair the cab.now i jst have to find the time ...lol

Re: project dragging bumper

Just get your self a marker board and start a list.
1) MII front end 16hrs (so two Satrudays)
2) drivers side rockers and cab corner 8hr
3) pass side 8hrs
and so on.

This way as you get a spare day you know what you should be able to nock out and check off.
Good luck as I have a 5month old and find it alot harder now to find Spare time as well.

Re: project dragging bumper

looks like it should be a good build. Did you do all of the work on the frame the first time you owned it or was it done by the guy that bought it from you?
