I need power conversion info
I have a 66 C-20 with power nothing. I know I can buy aftermarket boosters and upgrade the brakes simply, But the steering I would like to go with a GM product. So what yrs and models can I use? Do I need to change the suspension? can I use that donar suspension? is it as simple as taking apart the column and adding the unit? I can weld, cut , basically fabricate parts to fit , but what would be closest to what I need.?

Re: I need power conversion info
I believe you can use anything from 67-83, and then the later ones use a o ring seal instead of a compression seal, my setup is from a 87, with the exception of the bracket. The one thing to keep in mind will be the power steering bracket. If you have a long nose or short nose water pump, you will need the right bracket to work with it. I bought a used setup from a salvage, and used them for cores at auto zone, but only after I found that the gearbox was junk. I also used a double ujoint at the end of the steering shaft because the rez kit pushes the box out of alignment with the steering shaft, and I did not like that.
