One Piece Dor Glass is in.....

Finally got the door glass in. It took alittle bit of elbow grease but they work great, and look alot better than the vent window in my opinion.....

Looks great. Was the glass already tinted or did you do that before the install?

I love the functionality of my vent windows, but I have to admit, that looks awesome. How easily does the window go up and down?

Did you use a kit or put it together yourself. Love the look too. I need to start on mine.

I'm glad that the vent window was an "option" for the AD trucks. I like my '54 windshield and '50 doors without the wind wing. Sweet look man!

Re: One Piece Dor Glass is in.....

Poncho, the tint is built into the glass already. Saves it from getting scratched. I got all the glass from vintage glass.

Chevyrestoguy, The windows go up and down pretty good. not as hard as I thought it was goin to be.

Orgalmeister, I used the original sissors that I bought out of a catalog.

Ok, I've got a question for you. I bought the kit from Brothers (with power) but have not put it in yet. Now I'm thinking seriously of chopping the top so how will that affect the side glass? It seems to me that for the one piece to work the glass has to slide up at an angle and then pivot into place. Is this true? If it is, then my side glass will have to be cut or replaced to match the chop. I can't see how the parallelogram shaped glass can work any other way. (?)

I couldn't see why you would have to get the glass cut. All that is going to change is the hight of the top. No angles are being changed. So I don't think it would make any differnce, but maybe somebody else would know alittle bit better...
